Dear
Richard, I have got a full list of those attending the get-together
organised by Alan Brooker at The Cannon, Brompton, Gillingham.
The weather was fine and dry and we had the use of the garden with a
gazebo covering the victuals. Much sea-time was reviewed and times remembered,
aided by suitable libations of refreshment.
We were honoured to have the presence once again of the Principal Director
of Music Lt Colonel Nick Grace and his charming wife Isobel, who gave
up a weekend to travel from Portsmouth to Chatham to be with us. The
rest of the report I will leave in the hands of the very capable organiser
Alan Brooker, and hope that I shall be good for the next planned meeting
in a couple of years, by which time we shall be living in a free country
again... with every good wish, Terry Freestone.
Roy Fleming, Adrian Harper, Pip Phillips
Dave Lambert, Bob Gill, Alan Ham
John Cockwill, Andrew (Dusty) Miller, Ivor South
Dave Dawson, Ian Clarkson, Alec Harwood
Rob Taylor, Gary Powell, Alan (Butch) Rutter
Robert (Jock) Nelson, Derek Lindars, John Ainley
Stan Thomas, Geoff Truss, Kevin Tomlinson
Pat Hill, Phil (Taff) Kinsey, Tony (Tiny) Taylor

Obviously we had the pleasure of wives and partners, we also had the
widows Cherry Hughes and Pam Howgill. It was also a great honour for
us that Nick and Isobel Grace managed to attend, Nicks’ speeches
are always very well informed and go down very well.
All in all I think the evening was a success and for those who came
to the Sunday lunchtime get together, the party just carried on!
I will certainly be trying to get another reunion organised for 2019
and of course will keep you informed. with best wishes, Alan Brooker.
