British Horn Society

It would have been nice to have contributions from Frank Lloyd, who was the very first solo recitalist to perform at a British Horn Festival, accompanied with astonishing virtuosity by another brilliant horn player, Tony Halstead ... even a word from Julian Baker who presented such an excellent nine of his Royal College of Music students would not have gone amiss! Still! ... you’ll just have to put up with John, Tim and me trying our best to put over what an incredible occasion that Easter Saturday 1970 was for the more than 500 who attended ... and how proud John and I were that we had successfully achieved our goal.
