My father served as a Royal Marine Bandsman from March 1955 to February
1971 and the corp was his life even after leaving the service. He joined
at the age of 14 and learnt his trade as a percussionist at the Royal
Marine School of Music in Deal before service on various ships in the
Med.
He leaves a wife of 49 years (Maureen) and 2 children.
The funeral is to be held at Barham crematorium on Monday 27th September
2010 at 4pm. Family flowers only and donations to the British Heart
Foundation via The Co-operative funeralcare, 15 Queen Street, Deal.
A sad loss to us all.
