Dear Dickie,

I was recently at Deal and visited the Garden of Remembrance. I took photographs but see that Derek has placed a good set on the site. Four years ago I placed a plaque to my school oppo David William Snowball JE 14 squad, in the Garden of Remembrance, which at that time was in a poor state of order with beer cans and wine bottles strewed around the place. Two years ago I revisited and found the plaque missing, and presumed it had been vandalised. I visited 3 weeks ago and the plaque is now back. I would like to thank the kind hearted soul who kept the plaque safe until the site was tidied up. Hopefully they are a reader of this excellent site.
