Lt.
Col. Jase Burcham MVO
|
I remind your readers of the retirement this week of our Principal Director of Music Lt Colonel Jase Burcham MVO whose last appearance in uniform was at last Sunday’s moving RMBS Memorial Service in Portsmouth Cathedral. Throughout his career he has been a great asset to the Corps in general and the Royal Navy in particular. He leaves the Band Service having brought it’s excellence to the highest level where it is recognised throughout the world for its unparalleled professionalism. We wish him well as he moves to live in Canada with his wife Veryan. Jase has been a much admired leader for he has always shown sensitivity and thoughtfulness at all times. This is illustrated by his handwritten words on the wreath he laid at the RMBS Memorial Garden in Deal of the 22nd of September this year - “WE THAT LIVE ON LT. Col. Jase Burcham MVO has been a beacon of responsibility in our changing world. With deep sincerely I wish him well and hope that he is able to enjoy a lengthy retirement. Graham Hoskins
