Bob Johnson

It is with profound sadness that the family have asked me to inform you all that our friend and colleague Musician Robert G ‘Bob’ Johnson passed away in Spain on Monday 15th January 2024. Bob didn’t have a funeral, he was cremated and his ashes returned to Jayne.. all Bob’s wishes.

Bob was seventeen when he joined the Royal Marines Band Service on 12th May 1970, becoming a member of 1/70 Troop along with his twin brother Stephen, who sadly passed away in April 2021.
Bob was an excellent flute and sax player for BRNC 1982-1987, he also served with Flag Officer Plymouth, and enjoyed a trip with FOF3 Band in 1980.

Our love and condolences are extended to his wife Jayne, daughters Samantha and Kelly, and son James, and to his extended family and friends.
