This
afternoon I attended the funeral of Eric McKone. There was a large turnout
of family and friends. The standard of the Association of Royal Yachtsmen
was in attendance. A Trumpeter played a faultless Last Post and Reveille.
As you can see I met David Barton and Adrian Brett. Haven’t seen
David in years and it was good to catch-up. I was introduced to a chap
in his 90s who was the Solo Clarinet in the Met Band. It turns out that
he is great friends with our very own Jock Brown and often play golf
together. Small world eh?
I gave Adrian a lift to the pub afterwards on my way to see my daughter,
always a pleasure to help the aged!!!
