Having seen and read the articles on Brittania Naval College circa
1968 I scoured the archives (a cardboard box) to find a couple of
photos from 1958. The occasion was a formal visit by Queen Elizabeth
and a nostalgia trip by Prince Phillip. We carried out various duties
that day but the only ones I have photos of is the outside marching
band.
That day I was the Drum Major having escaped the Bass drum chore,
if nothing else we were multi- tasking to use a modern expression.
Phil Coombs was the Bandmaster but sadly I cannot recall any other
names
