Hi Dickie,

The Band held its inaugural 'blow' last Thursday 29th June at Whale Island. 28 members of the band managed to make it onto the island - there was competition from 4,000 members of the public trying to get to Portsmouth Band's 'Picnic in the Park' concert! - and this first rehearsal was deemed a success. Well, Ted was pleased anyway!
