This
years panto finished on 14th January after a sell out 10 night run
at the
Astor Theatre, Deal.
The
historically inaccurate plot centred on the Prime Minister, Winston
Churchill visiting Deal, where he is kidnapped by the Japanese Army
who have
landed on Deal beach. The Japanese then take Churchill to the far
east. The
Walmington on Sea Platoon are tasked with rescuing him and returning
him
safely to the UK. What could possibly go wrong!
The Panto raised over £30,000 for Charity this year, bringing
the total raised
since 2013 to over £118,000. The Commandant General, Major General
Robert
Magowan CBE, Corp RSM and Corp Bandmaster travelled to Deal for the
final night
and accepted a cheque for £10,000 on behalf the Royal Marines
Charitable
Trust. The remaining money was donated to 30 local charities at a
presentation
evening held at the RMA, Deal on Saturday 21st January. A DVD of this
