Hi Dickie

Going through my photo's I came across this one of the Plymouth Group Band taken in Plymouth Stonehouse Barracks bandroom (old galley) after we had returned from a 3 month tour of the United states of America. I believe a good time was had by all!?

We virtually circumnavigated the USA. from Jan to March 1976. We completed numerous shows for the USA Bi-Centennial Celebrations with the band of the Black Watch. Personally I always wanted to go back and see the sights we were unable to see due to restrictions of travelling from state to state. I always wanted to return to the USA so after 21 years I eventually went back to California with my daughter ( my wife will not fly) in 1997 for a three week tour but so smitten that we went back in 1999 for a 3 month tour travelling 7 thousand miles and lots of one night stands ( accommodation ?) which was fantastic and now I have the itchy feet again to have another crack at the USA.

Hope this brings back memories to those who were on the tour.
